A sales day with Valck
A walk through the day we are building toward: you call your sales agent from the car, and your CRM is up to date by the time you park.
Before we start, an honest note. This is a story about the future we are building at Nexfield. Valck, our AI account manager, is not live yet, and the voice calling you will read about is not available today. Nothing below describes a real customer. It's a picture of what we are working toward, so you can judge for yourself whether it's worth waiting for.
Meet Sanne. She's an account manager at a company that supplies parts to machine builders. She handles a lot of accounts, and like most account managers, she spends too much of her week on things that aren't selling.
07:45 – Coffee, not catch-up
Sanne opens her phone. Instead of scrolling through yesterday's emails to work out what's urgent, there's a short morning brief from her agent: two customers replied overnight, one deal hasn't been touched in two weeks, and a prospect's company just announced a new production line. Each item already has a suggested next step.
She reads it in three minutes and knows what her day looks like.
09:10 – On the road
Her first visit is an hour's drive away. In the past, that hour was dead time. Today she calls her agent hands-free.
"Move the gearbox deal to proposal stage, they agreed on the scope yesterday. Draft a follow-up thanking them and confirming we send the proposal by Thursday. And remind me to call the plant manager at the packaging line prospect next week."
The agent confirms back in plain words what it understood. Sanne keeps her eyes on the road.
10:05 – She parks
By the time she parks, the work is moving. The deal stage is updated in the CRM. A draft email is waiting for her approval, not sent on its own, because a person signs off on what goes to customers. The reminder is in her task list with the right contact attached.
She glances at the draft, changes one sentence, approves it, and walks into her meeting.
11:30 – After the meeting
Walking back to the car, she chats a few lines to her agent: the customer wants a second quote for a larger volume, the technical lead is new and should be added as a contact, and the decision is expected next month.
She doesn't open her laptop. When she can't, the agent works in the CRM for her: new contact created, notes logged on the deal, a follow-up task set. She doesn't need to carry her laptop everywhere anymore.
14:00 – The admin that used to eat afternoons
Back at the office, Sanne would normally spend an hour cleaning up. Today that work is mostly done. Her agent has kept the CRM current through the day, flagged a duplicate company record, and prepared follow-ups for two quiet accounts. She approves what she agrees with and skips the rest.
That hour goes to calling the prospect with the new production line instead.
17:30 – End of day
Before she logs off, a short end-of-day checklist arrives: what moved today, what's waiting on her, what's planned tomorrow. Two minutes, and nothing is left in her head over dinner.
The agent keeps going overnight, without sleep, watching for replies and signals so nothing waits until morning.
What her manager sees
Sanne's manager doesn't need to chase her for updates. The work is visible in the CRM: deals moved, notes logged, follow-ups sent after approval. The pipeline is cleaner and fuller, and sales keeps running without anyone babysitting it.
That is what we mean when we say one account manager carries the work of two or three, without the extra effort. Not by working harder, but by never losing the hour in the car, the ten minutes after a meeting, or the afternoon of admin again.
And the data?
All of this happens inside the company's own CRM. Valck only works through the access the company gives it, and only on the records assigned to the employee it works for. Remove that access and it stops. We never store CRM passwords, the company stays controller of its CRM data, and we never sell it.
Why tell this story now
Because we would rather build in the open than show up one day with a polished launch and big claims. This is the day we are designing Valck around. Some of it is closer than the rest, and we will be clear about what is live and what isn't at every step.
