Poland had 37.33 million residents on 31 December 2025, according to Statistics Poland (GUS), spread over 16 voivodeships (województwa). By population they are Mazowieckie (5.51 million, capital Warsaw), Śląskie (4.26 million, Katowice), Wielkopolskie (3.47 million, Poznań), Małopolskie (3.43 million, Kraków), Dolnośląskie (2.86 million, Wrocław), Pomorskie (2.36 million, Gdańsk), Łódzkie (2.33 million, Łódź), Podkarpackie (2.05 million, Rzeszów), Lubelskie (1.98 million, Lublin), Kujawsko-pomorskie (1.97 million, Bydgoszcz and Toruń), Zachodniopomorskie (1.61 million, Szczecin), Warmińsko-mazurskie (1.34 million, Olsztyn), Świętokrzyskie (1.15 million, Kielce), Podlaskie (1.13 million, Białystok), Lubuskie (0.96 million, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra) and Opolskie (0.92 million, Opole). A prospect list can be scoped to one voivodeship, several neighbouring voivodeships or the whole country.
Industrial and manufacturing: Śląskie, Wielkopolskie and Mazowieckie
GUS counted 3.19 million people working in industry at the end of 2024, 2.78 million of them in manufacturing. Śląskie had 473,100, Wielkopolskie 383,200 and Mazowieckie 338,900, followed by Dolnośląskie (273,000), Małopolskie (264,700) and Łódzkie (233,000). Food products was the largest manufacturing division by employment (438,500), ahead of metal products (370,900), rubber and plastics (234,600), motor vehicles and parts (205,900) and furniture (189,300). Machinery employed 134,800, electrical equipment 122,900 and coal and lignite mining 80,300. Sold industrial production reached PLN 2.41 trillion in 2024; in the GUS regional breakdown Mazowieckie accounted for 23.2%, Śląskie 14.2%, Wielkopolskie 11.2% and Dolnośląskie 9.4%.
Energy and environmental technology: capacity, wind and solar
Power plants in Poland had 73.5 GW of installed capacity at the end of 2024. Mazowieckie (9.8 GW), Śląskie (9.3 GW), Łódzkie (8.1 GW), Wielkopolskie (7.5 GW) and Zachodniopomorskie (6.8 GW) held the most. The energy regulator URE lists about 11.4 GW of wind installations as of 30 June 2026, led by Zachodniopomorskie (2.7 GW), Wielkopolskie (1.8 GW) and Pomorskie (1.7 GW). Solar installations on that list, which excludes small micro-installations, are led by Wielkopolskie (2.8 GW), Zachodniopomorskie (1.4 GW) and Lubuskie (1.2 GW). Micro-installations, almost all of them solar, added another 13.9 GW at the end of 2025. Electricity, gas and heat supply employed 115,200 people at the end of 2024.
Pharma and life sciences: a national picture
Pharmaceutical manufacturing employed 28,100 people at the end of 2024 and sold PLN 18.9 billion of products that year. GUS counted 118 pharmaceutical producers with ten or more staff, 14 of them with 500 or more. Chemicals employed another 89,200. GUS does not break pharmaceutical employment down by voivodeship in its industry yearbook, so this page does not rank regions for pharma. A pharma list can still be scoped to any voivodeship.
Food and agriculture: Wielkopolskie, Mazowieckie and Podlaskie
Food manufacturing sold PLN 390.9 billion in 2024, 16.2% of all sold industrial production, from 4,867 producers with ten or more staff. Beverages employed another 22,000 people. In June 2026 Poland had 6.23 million cattle, 20.1% of them in Wielkopolskie, 17.9% in Mazowieckie and 16.3% in Podlaskie. It had 9.21 million pigs (preliminary), with Wielkopolskie at 23.9%, Mazowieckie at 17.9%, Łódzkie at 12.2%, Kujawsko-pomorskie at 9.4% and Pomorskie at 9.1%.
How a Polish list is built
Choose your unit, describe what you sell and name the voivodeships you want covered, or the whole country. Nexfield works through all 56 sub-sectors of your unit and returns only companies that are probable buyers, never your competitors. Each row comes with region, city, sub-sector, company size, a priority rating and one sentence explaining why the company belongs on your list.

The Test is a sample of the real list: about 8 to 12 highly matched companies in Poland, in the same Excel format as a full order, for one fixed price of €99 with no subscription. If it fits, the Local package (€950) maps the rest of the country.
The list is about companies, not people: every entry is researched by our AI and confirmed in public sources, and it contains no personal contact details and no email addresses. You remain responsible for how you contact the companies, as set out in section 8 of our terms and conditions.
Businesses in Poland with a valid VAT number pay 0% Dutch VAT: the VAT is reverse-charged. Prices are always shown excluding VAT.
04 Who we are
An AI company with engineering roots.
Nexfield is an AI company. Our sector-specialist AI works through the 56 sub-sectors of your unit, finds the companies that should be buying what you sell, classifies and prioritises them, and reviews its own output against your description before anything is delivered.
Nexfield was founded by a chemical engineer with years in technical sales to the process industry. That is why the reasoning on every list follows how industrial buying actually works, rather than generic company data.
We work business-to-business only: one order, one fixed price, no retainer, no contract, no minimum. Every order is covered by our terms and conditions.
