● Nexfield / Industries / Energy
Lists of energy and environmental technology companies, built around projects.
Selling to the energy transition? Nexfield researches the operators, developers and manufacturers in renewables, hydrogen, batteries, grids, water and recycling that are positioned to buy what you sell, each with the installation or project that explains why.
01 The market
Who this list is for
This page is for suppliers that sell to energy and environmental companies: equipment and component makers, EPC and engineering firms, installers, inspection and maintenance services, software and data providers, and technical distributors. A search for "energy companies" mostly returns household electricity suppliers. That is not your market. Your buyers are the businesses that build, run and supply plants, grids and treatment facilities.
What is in the list
The Energy & Environmental Technology unit covers 56 sub-sectors, including hydrogen production and electrolysis, battery cell and module manufacturing, energy storage systems, solar and wind manufacturing and development, offshore wind services, biogas and waste-to-energy, carbon capture, grid and distribution operators, transformers and switchgear, heat pumps and district heating, water and wastewater treatment, and plastics and metal recycling.
Every row has the company name, country, region, city, sector, sub-sector, company size, a priority rating and one sentence explaining why the company is a probable buyer of what you sell. You get an Excel file with filters on every column, usually within 5 minutes to 1 hour after payment confirmation on working days (orders at the weekend arrive on Monday; in exceptional cases up to 24 hours). We do not pad lists to reach a number, and we leave out your competitors.
A reason to contact every company
This sector buys around projects: an electrolyser going up, a battery line being commissioned, a plant being decarbonised, a grid connection being reinforced. The sentence on each row names that kind of reason, so you can call when it is relevant rather than when it suits your calendar.
Energy companies in Germany
Destatis reports that 438.2 TWh of electricity was fed into the German grid in 2025, 58.6% of it from renewable sources, with wind at 30.0% and solar at 16.0%. Electrical equipment manufacturing employs 416,908 people. See our Germany prospect lists.
Energy companies in the Netherlands and Belgium
CBS reports that renewables supplied 49% of Dutch electricity production in 2025, with wind capacity at 7.0 GW on land and 4.7 GW at sea at the end of the year; gas extraction from the Groningen field ended by law in April 2024. Statbel puts Belgian gross electricity production at 73.1 TWh in 2025 (nuclear 23.8, wind 13.5, solar 10.5 TWh), and nine Belgian offshore wind farms have 399 turbines and 2.262 GW. See our Netherlands prospect lists and Belgium prospect lists.
Energy companies in the United Kingdom and France
Renewables supplied 52.1% of UK electricity in 2025. In France, 547.5 TWh of electricity was produced in 2025, 68.1% of it nuclear, with solar capacity rising to 30.4 GW and 1.9 GW offshore wind in operation. See our United Kingdom prospect lists and France prospect lists.
Energy companies in the Nordics
Statistics Denmark reports 33,038 GWh of Danish electricity production in 2025, of which 19,078 GWh from wind. Norway produced 161.8 TWh, 145.5 TWh of it hydro (SSB), and crude oil and natural gas were 57% of its goods export value in 2025. Sweden produced around 167 TWh, and Finland about 78.9 TWh, with nuclear at 31.3 TWh and wind at 22.2 TWh. See Denmark prospect lists, Norway prospect lists, Sweden prospect lists and Finland prospect lists.
Also covered: Switzerland, Austria and more
Hydropower supplied 59.6% of Swiss electricity in 2024 and nuclear 28.4%. Austria generated 73,130 GWh gross in 2025, about half from hydro. See Switzerland prospect lists, Austria prospect lists, Italy prospect lists, Poland prospect lists, Ireland prospect lists and Luxembourg prospect lists.
Figures are quoted from the official statistics and sector bodies cited on each linked country page, with their year. Nexfield does not publish company counts of its own.
Start with a €99 test
You do not have to commit to a full list to find out whether it works for energy and environmental buyers. The Test is a sample of the real list: about 8 to 12 highly matched companies in one country, for example offshore wind suppliers in Denmark or water operators in Germany, delivered in the same Excel format as a full order. It costs €99, excluding VAT. One fixed price, no subscription, no contract, no minimum. If the sample fits, order Local (€950) for the rest of that country, or Regional (€1,500, two countries) and Regional Plus (€2,000, three countries) for a wider market.

GDPR and company data
Every entry is researched by our AI and confirmed in public sources. The lists are about companies, not people: they contain no personal contact details and no email addresses, so you are not buying a database of individuals. You remain responsible for how you contact the companies, as set out in section 8 of our terms and conditions. Many customers add contacts afterwards with a tool such as Apollo or Lusha, once they know which companies are worth it.

02b Specialist signals
Signals we look for
The signals this unit looks for:
- Auction and tender results. Awards in renewable, grid and storage auctions and EU tenders open the procurement window.
- EU funding selections. Selections under the European Hydrogen Bank and the Innovation Fund come with fixed project timelines.
- Permit and registration milestones. Published permits and newly registered generation units mark the move from planning to building and operation.
We speak your buyers' language
Pipeline, FID, grid connection, PPA, EPC, balance of plant, commissioning, O&M.
Our method
Public, company-level sources only. The reason to contact names the signal we found, and we never invent one.
03 Questions
Questions about this list.
No. The list covers businesses that build, run or supply energy and environmental infrastructure, such as developers, operators, manufacturers and treatment plants. It is meant for companies that sell to them.
Yes. Describe what you sell and choose the sub-sectors, for example hydrogen production and electrolysis or battery cell manufacturing, and the country or region. The list only includes companies in those sub-sectors that are probable buyers.
Any European country. Local covers one country, Regional two and Regional Plus three. The Test covers one country.
No. The lists are about companies, not people, and contain no personal contact details or email addresses.
The Test costs €99 for about 8 to 12 companies in one country. Local costs €950, Regional €1,500 and Regional Plus €2,000, all excluding VAT. One fixed price, no subscription.
Apollo and similar platforms are general contact databases: you search, filter and decide yourself. A CRM's AI agent, such as HubSpot's prospecting agent, researches the buying signals you define in your own plays. Nexfield is a specialist research desk for energy and environmental technology companies: our unit already knows which signals matter in this sector, checks each company against them and writes down the reason to contact it. You get a finished list, not a tool to configure.
04 Who we are
An AI company with engineering roots.
Nexfield is an AI company. Our sector-specialist AI works through the 56 sub-sectors of your unit, finds the companies that should be buying what you sell, classifies and prioritises them, and reviews its own output against your description before anything is delivered.
Nexfield was founded by a chemical engineer with years in technical sales to the process industry. That is why the reasoning on every list follows how industrial buying actually works, rather than generic company data.
We work business-to-business only: one order, one fixed price, no retainer, no contract, no minimum. Every order is covered by our terms and conditions.
